  • Overview

Direct hire.  This is NOT a temp to perm job.  Seeking Desktop support technician with both Mac and Windows experience.  Location at a major museum in Washington, DC on Independence AVE SW.  Pay range up to $60,000 a year with full benefits, but would depend on experience.  Must be able to pass both a background check AND drug test.

    Responsibilities

This is a Mid-Level Desktop Support Technician position where the technician will be required to provide both Tier 1 and Tier 2 support, as there are no real dedicated Tier 1 call center type roles. The technician will support the Museum users via phone, email, remote control, and in-person. The technician will be working with a team of technicians in this support role, supporting about 500+ end users. The immediate team includes 3 other contracted Desktop support technicians and IT staff museum employees. Since the team is fairly small in size, the desktop support position includes project related tasks along with A/V tier 1 tasks and duties. The A/V tasks and duties are to support video conferencing and other IT equipment in conference rooms. The Museum uses Dell computers running a mixture of Windows 7/10 OS and Mac devices on OSX in an Active Directory environment. There are COTS and custom developed applications that require support in five main locations of the Washington DC Metropolitan area. The Museum also uses mobile devices such as iPhones and iPads along with remote access through Citrix.
